Welcome to IdeaConnect. These Terms of Service ("Terms") are a binding agreement between you and IdeaConnect governing your use of our apps, websites, and services (the "Service").
01 Acceptance of terms
By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you don't agree, please don't use IdeaConnect.
02 Eligibility
- You must be at least 16 years old (or the minimum digital-consent age in your country) to use the Service.
- Features involving investment interest may require you to be 18 or older and to meet additional eligibility criteria.
- You must provide accurate information and keep it up to date.
03 Your account
- You're responsible for your account, your password, and activity that happens under it.
- Keep your credentials secure and notify us promptly of any unauthorized use.
- One person, one account, unless we agree otherwise; don't impersonate others or misrepresent your role.
04 Your content
You keep ownership of the ideas, posts, media, and messages you create ("Your Content"). By posting, you grant IdeaConnect a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, display, and distribute Your Content solely to operate and improve the Service and according to your visibility settings.
- You're responsible for Your Content and confirm you have the rights to share it.
- We don't claim ownership of your ideas, and we don't use your private messages to train advertising.
- You can delete Your Content; copies may persist briefly in backups or where others have shared it.
05 Acceptable use
To keep the community safe and useful, you agree not to:
- Post unlawful, fraudulent, hateful, harassing, or sexually exploitative content.
- Spam, scrape, or send unsolicited bulk messages or solicitations.
- Impersonate people or organizations, or misrepresent your affiliation, role, or funding.
- Infringe others' intellectual property or share confidential information you're not allowed to.
- Attempt to hack, overload, reverse-engineer, or disrupt the Service.
- Use the Service to make misleading investment claims or to defraud other users.
We provide tools to report, block, and mute, and we may remove content or suspend accounts that violate these Terms.
06 Ideas, interest & investment
- "Expressing interest" or sharing an indicative amount is a signal to start a conversation, not a binding commitment, offer, or contract.
- Any agreement, investment, or collaboration you enter into with another user is solely between you and them. Do your own due diligence and seek professional advice.
- We don't verify the accuracy of ideas, projections, or user claims, and we're not responsible for outcomes of connections made through the Service.
07 Our intellectual property
The IdeaConnect name, logo, app, design, and software are owned by us and protected by law. We grant you a limited, revocable, non-transferable license to use the Service for its intended purpose. Don't copy, modify, or create derivative works of our materials without permission.
08 Third-party services
The Service may link to or integrate third-party services (e.g. sign-in providers, app stores). Their terms and privacy practices govern your use of them, and we're not responsible for third-party content or services.
09 Suspension & termination
You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these Terms, create risk or legal exposure, or for prolonged inactivity. Provisions that by nature should survive termination (e.g. content licenses for already-shared content, disclaimers, liability limits) will survive.
10 Disclaimers
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We don't warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that connections will lead to any particular result.
11 Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, IdeaConnect and its team won't be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, data, or goodwill, arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the prior 12 months or USD $100.
12 Governing law & disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction where our company is established (to be confirmed once the entity is registered). We'll try to resolve disputes informally first — please contact us. Any formal dispute-resolution venue, arbitration terms, and class-action provisions will be finalized with counsel and reflected here.
13 Changes to these terms
We may update these Terms as the Service evolves. We'll post the updated version here and, for material changes, give you notice. Continuing to use the Service after changes take effect means you accept them.
